Hello there. I heard about your request for information on how to get a hold of a copy of Robert Merle’s Mavevil and I thought I might be able to help. I work at a library and decided to check FirstSearch (our resource sharing database) and noticed an English translation of Mavevil is available at close to 500 libraries in the U.S. This is not to say that your local library will have a copy, but I’m fairly certain they could borrow it from a nearby library that does. Most libraries in the U.S. participate in a little known program called Interlibrary Loan. So, if your local library does not have a copy, ask them if they could request a copy through Interlibrary Loan. It won’t cost you anything. They’ll request the book and notify you when it becomes available. You’ll check it out through them and return it just like you would any other library book. Pretty simple actually. Good luck with that.

Here is the ISBN for the English translation of Mavevil:
9780671216009

This number should help whoever is helping you with your Interlibrary Loan request
