Watched Right at Your Door

I just watched Right at Your Door on the Roku. It's the story of a guy who seals himself in his house after a series of dirty bombs are detonated in Los Angeles. Apparently, the "dirty" aspect of these bombs isn't radiation, as you would expect, but rather what they described as a "viral-hybrid", some sort of toxin that slowly affects those exposed to it. Things get interesting when the guy's wife, who had been downtown when the bombs went off, shows up back at home.

Even though I spent most of the movie thinking how much of a dick the guy was, I was still enjoying it. The direction used a lot of shaky cams, and quick cuts, which helped to keep up the suspense level.

And just when it started to get talky, and seemed to slow down, they whack you with what for me was literally a heart-pounding ending. That was quite the intense finish.

I can see why it's getting pretty good reviews on Netflix, and even though I didn't love it, I liked it a lot and would recommend it, especially if you can just fire it up via streaming.
